Human

Found everywhere, from the grandest cities to the smallest villages. Known for their adaptability and ambition, they are capable of both great kindness and terrible cruelty. They are the most numerous of the species.

Dwarf

Stout and hardy folk of the mountains. Masters of mining, smithing, and stonework, they are often fiercely loyal to their clans and possess a deep respect for tradition.

Appearance: A stout and burly humanoid often with a braided beard (all genders can grow beards). Skin has stone-like textures and crystals or stones are woven into hair. Generally between 4 and 5ft tall.

Elf

Otherworldly and long-lived, with a deep connection to both the natural world and the realm of Fae. They are often seen as aloof and enigmatic by other races. Elven cultures often value wisdom and beauty above all else.

Appearance: Tall and slim, elves have otherworldly eye colors, long pointed ears, and unique skin patterning. Some even have antlers. Generally between 6 and 7ft tall.

Halfling

Small and nimble, with a love of good food, comfortable living, and a quiet life. They are known for their good humor and resilience. They are the most similar species to Humans.

Appearance: A stouter human on a smaller scale. Generally between 3 and 4ft tall.

Orc

A species known for their tribal, nomadic warrior clans. Orcs often value strength and honor, and possess a complex culture often misunderstood by outsiders.

Appearance: Large humanoids with bulkier frames and some bestial features such as tusks, snouts, and claws. Skin colors are generally earth-tones including greens and greys. Generally between 6 and 7ft tall.

Half-Elf

Born of human and elven parents, they inherit traits from both races. They possess the adaptability of humans and the grace of elves, often finding themselves caught between two worlds.

Appearance: Closely resembles humans but with at least one distinct elven feature (longer ears, otherwordly eye colors, elven skin patterns). Human height.

Half-Orc

Born of human and orcish parentage, they often face prejudice from both sides. They are endowed with great strength and resilience, and are often forced to forge their own paths in life.

Appearance: Closely resembles humans but often with a larger build and orcish tusks. Some are born with Orcish skin tones. Generally between 6 and 7ft tall.

Dragonborn

Descendants of dragons, they possess draconic features. Proud and powerful, they are often drawn to positions of leadership.

Appearance: Large humanoids with draconic features such as scales, a short snout, a tail, and clawed hands and feet. Dragonborn are not born with wings. Generally between 6 and 7ft tall.

Tiefling

A species of those descendent from Humans marked by infernal heritage, they possess some demonic features. Often viewed with suspicion and fear and misunderstood by much of society.

Appearance: Resemble humans with infernal features such as horns, a tail, and often unusually colored eyes and skin. Colors include red and purple hues. Human height.
